Hot Butt Sumo Squats For Glutes

I saw a calender last night about a dude that runs around in different settings with his bare glutes flapping away in the wind. Why did I see this? Long story… that I’m not going to talk about.

At any rate, if you are going to bare your butt (without shaving it, ladies too) and show off your glutes while you go curling and bobsledding (yup), at least have a nice set of squeezables down there.

So I have a funny yet very effective variation of the sumo squat. Now this will make powerlifters cringe that I put such a little foo foo spin on such a heavy hardcore lift butt… (ha) the kick at the top really tweaks the glutes so there you have it.

Here is a simple glute exercise you can do at home, with or without weight that will work it all down there. The way the dumbbells are being held is not efficient. It’s tedious and works the biceps while you hit the lower body. You just have to keep your shoulders back.

The video quality is bad on this one. I took it spur of the moment in a session a while ago.

    Shouldn’t you be kicking out, bringing your leg back, and then going to the floor? Just dropping the leg at the end of the kick wastes an opportunity for more of a workout to that area. And by bringing the leg back, you help increase your balance.

    Sure think Awesome Possum, do the movement to the level of your ability. If you can keep you leg up and do the movement slower, then do it.
