A circus freak has a 3rd leg

Posted by Ray Burton | .

Raymond Burton a circus freak has a 3rd leg , K. So what’s that all about? Well let’s just say that things are a foot here at Buildingbodies.ca. The time has come where I need this blog to generate some income in order to justify the time I spend on it. In order to do that I need sponsors through advertising and as well as doing cross promotions with other bloggers and companies.

I’ll also need to make this blog more personal and write about a larger variety of topics because frankly, I don’t know what’s left to write about fitness other than what I do in my day to day life.

Here. I put most of my thoughts in this piece I wrote a few months back but didn’t have the balls to post so… now is the time.

The Most Important Thing I Have Ever Written…so far

I’m sitting in a small cafe in Kensington Calgary Canada as I write this. Having a coffee and waiting for a won ton soup. Strange combo I know but it sets the stage for something I’ve been wanting to say for a long time.

So here we go… WARNING: I’m writing from the heart on this one and my heart sometimes explains itself with profanity. So if that isn’t your bag. You might not want to keep reading.

I’ve come to realize everyone wants to feel beautiful. Replace that with handsome or manly if need be. That inside every person there is a soul that truly wants to be the best they can be and everyone enjoys feeling loved.

Sitting here, I’ve realized that the problem is people don’t realize why they are not the people they could possibly be because of a really big, no make that massive…. scam.

People don’t realize what they are doing that is making them merely shadows of what they could be.

I’m not anti anything from a moral standpoint. If you want to ridicule me for that, it is your prerogative. But I say I’m not anti anything from a moral standpoint because I want you to know that the things I mention I don’t believe are morally wrong or whatever label you may put on it. And, morally wrong depends on the rule book you play by.

When I see a lady walk by at 270 pounds with foundation, make up and a nicely matching outfit. I know she hasn’t given up on life. I know she wants to look and feel beautiful.

When I see a guy who got up and shaved. Made sure his belt matched his shoes and put on some cologne. I know he wants to feel like a stud even though his shirt wont stay tucked in because of his belly.

What do they share in common? They’ve been lied to. They are not aware of the things they do that are causing their bodies to revolt. They don’t know why their minds, emotions and sex drives are all over the map.

In short, they don’t know about all the media claws and, crowd psychology and manipulation they are being exposed to. And so… they don’t know why it is… that life sucks so much.

They don’t know why life sucks so bad and why freaks like me are bopping about saying “Hey! Awesome day isn’t it?” They think, “Oh God. Shut up ya wanker. This bites and tomorrow probably will too.”

And it probably will.

“Hey! How’s It Going?” Answer: “Not Too Bad… So Far” Holy sheep dip. Really? Not too bad so far. It just begs for something bad to happen. Like your looking for it! Fun Sucker. Keep the S and the F in the proper order or we’ll have problems :-)

So let’s start with one small piece of the puzzle… food.

There’s healthy food. Real Food. Junk Food. Non-Food and pure poison.

Our bodies are fucked up because most of us are bottom feeders. Sucking in poison on a daily basis and amazingly, still alive. But just. It’s like the movie “The Matrix”. There are several realities going on. If you are a bottom feeder drinking six coke or Pepsi a day, you really have no idea of what your world could be like. You probably feel pain on a daily basis. Your an emotional wreck. You have no sex drive. You get sick frequently. Never have any energy and life is basically a cycle of working at a shitty job all day and looking for a distraction that gives you some joy at night. A poisoned soul, medicating the screaming dreams, trying to get out.

Some of these poisons pushed and programmed into our minds as something normal are: drinking water, splenda, aspartame, cigarettes, pop (both diet and normal), MSG and candy of all sorts for a start. Actually, lets stop there on candy. 50 years ago, candy was made of sugar and maybe some dye. You had to find a store that sold it and more often than not had to actually visit a candy store.

People made special occasions out of getting candy. You’d pack up the whole family, talk about what yummy treat you were going to get and take the Saturday to visit the Candy Shop. My family would go for ice cream. Dad and I would walk the train tracks and then I’d sit on the hill and watch cows.

What about now? Maybe you plunk some quarters in a vending machine or pull into any corner store and pound back a list of unpronounceable chemicals your body doesn’t recognize from nature and has no idea how to detoxify and eliminate. A slow, ebbing of life from vitality to progressive weakness and dependancy on even more drugs and chemicals to keep you alive. If that is what you want to call it.

Chemicals that you trust that the government deems to be safe. It’s amazing how many corporations leaders move on to become members of the government and then in turn push through laws and approvals for products that are in the interest of the corporation they came from. You my friend are disposable. You are a consumer… that is all in their eyes.

It’s just a different version of a lion eating an antelope. You’re being eaten alive. On the bottom of the food chain.

But what if the population becomes sick and lethargic? Well, that would be totally awesome because they wont question anything or fight back. They will have no will. Then the government can make money medicating you.

Note I said Medicating. You do not make money healing people. Just treating them a medication them. Healed people don’t need to spend money on treatments.

What’s one of the reasons you eat shit all the time? Because you think it tastes good and it’s a treat. Bull shit again. You were fed that pile of crap through the TV, Movies and Radio. If you eat healthy for a while you’ll see how much junk food tastes like ass and makes you feel even worse. Cats will lick anti freeze because it’s sweet. You might as well be doing the same thing half the time.

Sample of media bullshit? Here in Canada, service people like those that serve you drinks and food get paid an hourly wage. DUH right? Well, do you know why tipping is expected? Why you just add 15% without even considering the service? It’s expected because in the States, most service people get a a few bucks (like $20) for the whole shift from their employer. The real money they live off is tips. Now skip to Canadian TV. How much of that gets major play? Hardly any. What culture are you exposed to on TV almost every time you turn it on? AMERICAN. So why then, are you just expected to tip here in Canada? Because they do in the States. That’s the input your brain gets daily. But the fact of the matter is that here in Canada, tipping really should be based on the quality of service and not just a no brainer.

So what am I selling? What’s my agenda? Nothing. I’m done with all this. I’ve created enough programs and written enough instructional information that I have nothing left. This is my last hoorah.

I can’t waste more of my life going over the same issues and covering the same ground for the sake of earning a living. My life is based on adventure with a tinge of certainty. This blog is my contribution. The positive feedback I get pumps me up and the money feeds me.

I’ve been doing this for so long though now that it no longer gives me the sense of adventure, excitement and significance that I once got from it if I keep doing the same old things. So I need to shake it up. This in no way undervalues the massive amount of information that can be found on this site. It just means that all I have… I feel is here and mostly free. There is nothing else you need to know. And that means it’s time for me to move on from teaching the basics and do a little more variety here. So enough of that. Back to you and the rest of what I want to say before I go.

Motivation

I’m paused sitting at my keyboard as I looked at that word. I just don’t understand it. I’ve spent two years working on a book trying to figure out how to help people put my instructions into action… and I’m still confused. I still don’t understand why if someone wants something, knows how to get it without a doubt and even knows approximately how long it will take to accomplish…. why they just won’t fucking do it. It seriously drives me nuts.

This is also why I don’t waste my time personal training people any more unless I’ve known them for a long time or they come referred by a friend.

The only thing I can think of is that the goal is not worth the effort for folks. If that’s the case, it makes me sad. It makes me sad that someone would undervalue their life so much that they won’t put a few habitual actions into their lives so that it’s a wonderful life. So that they can see and do so many things. Go on so many adventures and do it with the ones the love for a long, long time.

If I see adventure, my body is ready to go NOW. You don’t need to be benched on the sidelines by your body. You just don’t.

It really makes me sad. And I really can’t do it any more. I’m going to save this now… take a break and come back fresh to write some more…..

I Sent This Article Below Out Last Week - I’ve Been Waiting To Write This Article

Last week I sent out an email about the Commando Home Workout Program. I said that it was going to be on a donation basis and I was going to keep it that way.

I’ll tell you why in a minute but here is the email that prompted this part of the article.

“Good morning Ray, I have been reading your website for about 8 months and I have to say I am truly impressed with your approach with the boot camp style training you do.

If I may give you a little history about myself, I have always been a chunky kid growing up.  Even when I went into the Air Force I was fighting my weight to maintain my weekly qualifications.  However my weight got the best of me a few years back when I was moving an oversize piece of equipment and herniated a disk in my lower back.  Since being released from my doctor, I have been fighting a stalemate battle with the 280 pound mark on the scale. I have tried many different methods of training and fitness to try and take off the pounds, with no avail, and the pounds return.

My wife and I are currently enjoying empty nest syndrome as both of our kids are grown and our son is currently enjoying his time in the Air Force (taking after his dad).  However we are both suffering from not having kids to take care of, and needing something to fill our evenings with.  This is definitely not help either of our waistlines.

So my story comes to an end as I was searching for some kind of intense cardio workout, when I stumbled upon your website.  I have had training in Tae Kwon Do and limited MMA in the past, but with my wife and I having limited funds, this training is on a temporary holding pattern (I hope). I have been enjoying your weekly updates and I was excited as all get out when I saw the latest email offer for your workout.  However, with my wife finally getting employment after being off of work for 6 months, I am not able to donate anything to get the complete workout program.  I hope that you will be offering this program in the future with the same terms. Until then I will continue to review your website with the hope to download your workout in the future.

Many thanks for a job well done”
(name withheld)

And with that… here we go… with a copy of last weeks newsletter. Posted up here for everyone.

Every day as a personal trainer, I try my very best to provide all the resources someone needs to get in shape and turn there lives around. For some, it’s just a new workout for variety but for others, it’s a second chance at life.

The obstacles that people face when they have hit the end of the line and want to change are:
1) Money – the program costs too much
2) Equipment – they have none and don’t want to buy any
3) Fear – they don’t want to go to the gym
4) Knowledge – they don’t know how to do the exercises right. They don’t know what to eat or how to eat properly to get the desired results from their training.

With the Commando Home Workout, I’ve fixed all that and there is no need for me to do anything further for you. I’ve provided you with a way to change your life by:

1) Making it a donation basis – I will except whatever you can afford at this time. From a penny up. Money is no object to becoming the person you want to be and enjoying life to it fullest potential for you and your family anymore.

**I watched a story about a wife that said she wanted to do “this thing” with her husband (no not that thing) on their anniversary when they were both 75 years old. The husband said that people like me that weigh this much don’t make it to 75 years old.**

That kicked me in the gut. I want something better for you. I never want anyone I know to feel that way about their future. Especially when I know what they need to do and can provide the help.

2) Equipment – I know that a lot of people don’t have gym equipment. After all they just started. Why would they have that stuff at home? Commando requires no equipment. At best, if you can get chin up bar, you’ll be able to go to the advanced level but most people will jump at the chance to pick up a chinup bar when the time comes that your body has changed that much.

3) Fear – There is no fear here. You can do this at the park or in the privacy of your own home. You can tuck yourself away for a month and then come out a new creature when you are ready. No embarrassment. No waiting for equipment. No gym fees. No wasted travel time. AND, there is no danger. I show you how to do it right and there is no heavy dangerous weight that you could hurt yourself with as a beginner.

4) Knowledge – When you know what to do to get the desired result, putting in the required work is WAY easier. Because you know it’s only a matter of time before your hard work pays off. When you see stuff happening, you’ll keep doing it.

I’ve put in videos of how to do your eating plan. You’ve got a spreadsheet to keep track of your eating if you should choose to do it that way. You’ll have video demonstrations of how to do all the exercises and be able to do one of the workouts with me.

THIS IS ALL I CAN DO.

With this, there is nothing else I can provide with my current level of knowledge that would make a lifestyle change more easy, accessible, affordable and fun to do for you.

This is my gift to you.

Ray Burton.

Here is where you can get started today

That Was The Email I Sent

So where does that leave us now? I don’t really know. I think if anyone truly cares about themselves, they’ll find a a couple of dollars to pick themselves up and get started on a new path.

I’m putting my flagship programs online so you can download them for less than it would cost to train with me one on one. That includes Commando and Fat 2 Fit (I’ve now included parts of this book free for signing up to the newsletter to get you started). I will continue writing about fun lifestyle stuff and be living off your workout program downloads and online coaching I do.

I hope the new direction feels cool to you too.

I’ll keep writing about workouts and stuff. It will be more of a story of travels and workouts, improvisations and stuff. In truth, all the facts are covered on the site here so, doing all over again is not very creative or expansive.

Care about yourself,
Care about what example you are to your family,
Care enough about yourself enough to stick around a long time for your family.

You Can Always Be More
You Can Always Enjoy Life More
There Are So Many Experiences For You To Enjoy.

You CAN Have It All

You Just Need To Go For It.

Holy smokes, Ray! Thank you for sharing this - it’s struck a chord with me. A little over a year ago I was one those severely overweight people. Life just seemed to suck, and I couldn’t figure out a way to make it better. I’m no longer that man; things have changed a lot for me since then. Anyway, just want to say thank you again for putting yourself out there like you have.

  18. Ray Burton on

Just spreading the disease :-) Why is it that people only talk about the bad shit that’s infectious most of the time Bill? Can you imagine if personal power was infectious and every time Anthony Robbins sneezed… you’d have to take time off work to cash your million dollar checks? lol
